Are You Prepared to Do a Promotional Business Talk?

When you are placed before an audience, you can still provide a serving experience, even in a group.

It can be like you are just speaking to one person, just touching one person’s heart – and it’s like doing a one-on-one consultation.

Each one in the group has a similar connection.   It is just like doing the one-to-one consultation, except that you are doing it in a group setting.

This is a key to being really effective in a group, a workshop, or in a keynote speech. You want to be able to feel as if you are talking to one person.  You want to make a connection as you take people through the essence of the selling to serving process.

You want to be able to take people through a similar process, a vibrational process to help them come to a place of understanding and self-discovery that they know they want what you have.

It’s both an art and a science at the same time and, it’s important for you to take into account the energetics of partnering with Spirit on this.

Offering an in-person complimentary promotional business talk or workshop can be a great marketing channel.  You start moving energy your own energy by getting out and actually doing something with people.

I do recommend that you do not use the term “free” even if you are making a presentation and are not charging for it.

When you use the term “free” or you are giving away free things and you have not really established a value for it, then energetically, not much seems to come from it.

You want an energetic exchange.  The person who is offering the free presentation or free products might even feel resentful when nothing much seems to come from it.

There appears to be no value on something that is free.

Whatever you do or provide does have a value, and you need to show that there is value to the people that are receiving your gift. For example, if you are giving a complimentary promotional talk, the recipients are getting a complimentary seat to an event that is valued at $39.

Everything you do has a value; it is an energy exchange.  If you choose to give it as a complimentary gift, then it is good to acknowledge the value both to yourself and to others.

When you do this, you stand in a place of valuing yourself, which can magnetize those who also value you and what you are presenting.

Whenever you talk to people in a promotional business talk, they are waiting for that moment when you invite them to do something.

What’s the next step?  What action can I take?

Activating the gaps is really a call to action.

When you talk with someone one-on-one, you can help him or her explore and identify what their roadblocks or challenges are; what is keeping them from being activated.

In a group, you’re not asking them what all of their blocks are.  You are presenting them with roadblocks that they can get energetically aligned with – things they can identify with.

That’s really quite easy if you get honest with what your process has been and how your products and services can help those that have had similar challenges or have experienced the feelings you have experienced.

If you don’t know their challenges or issues, how will you activate a gap and get to a solution?

You want to show your audience how what you have to offer will solve the problems, challenges, mistakes, or issues that they are dealing with.

By describing what the challenges are (or have been for you), the audience knows that you’ve been there and they can feel a connection to you.

By sharing the antidote to those roadblocks, it activates in them the belief that they don’t have to continue to live their life that way.  That’s when they can move into the range of solutions with you.

You are articulating the gaps.

It becomes very easy to do that because you’ve lived through all those challenges that you have articulated, and now you bring in the possible solutions.

Remember, this needs to be simple, easy and fun!  This is an energetic journey where you are

  • Partnering with Spirit
  • Determining the gaps
  • Activating the possibilities
  • And providing a call to action for others to partner with you

It is an energetic journey because when you are calling them forth as your ideal clients or consumers, they are also calling you forth as an answer to a roadblock or gap they are experiencing.

When you consider doing this in groups from the serving perspective, you are not really talking to 10 or 100 or 10,000 people.

You are connecting eye-to-eye and at a heart level with one person, because the person who is activated to take action is choosing a relationship with you to cover the gap.   You may have a collection of individuals and you are talking to them all at once, but you are nurturing that serving spiritual connection to each one.

You can assist this intention by using a conversational tone rather than the teacher or lecturer mode.

Let the stories of the energy move through the idea of the gap; help them to really see why it’s a gap and then move into solutions and call them to action.

Help them to feel it.  When they are activated, it feels different.

I invite you to look at creating your complimentary promotional talk with new eyes.  Bypass the intellectual part which is saying, “I’m doing a talk; I need to go and present this talk so I can make an activation occur for them”.

Remember, it is activating you too!

You get just as much out of it because you are really present there, and you are holding the energy that will allow you to do something else – that will allow you to take the next step, too.

All of your marketing is produced from an energetic level.

Energetically, you don’t always see the bigger picture because you can’t see all the vibrations bouncing off one another.  They all have value and you can’t put something out there without it coming back to you.

If you are putting something out from a place of serving, then that is how it will come back to you.

If you have a fear of speaking or of talking in front of groups, just remember – this isn’t speaking.  This isn’t talking at people.

This is connecting at a heart level and then exchanging energy!
