As You Work to ‘Dress for Success’, How Important is it to Balance Both Your Masculine and Feminine Sides in Business?

I was recently coaching a woman with a prominent position in her company. We were discussing her desire to be more feminine as she tried to dress for success in her business experience.
The truth was, she was very apprehensive about being perceived as feminine. She always dressed in pantsuits (the more ‘masculine’ attire) that were in basic, plain colors. She had some sort of horror instilled within her about being flashy.
I coached her that a woman can absolutely be fully feminine in business tastefully. The real idea of having to ‘dress for success’ includes activating your feminine side and nurturing your employees with a combination of both masculine AND feminine qualities.
