What’s the Proper Way to Quit a Job?

I’ve talked to many people that have told me they are unhappy in their job – they want to leave but they’re not sure of the best way, or even if it’s a wise move – I mean, wouldn’t it be better to just stay and be miserable considering the economy?

Personally, I can really relate to being unhappy in your job – it’s what happened to me and how I ended up doing the work I’m in now.  I was VERY unhappy in my job!

I was a corporate executive, working about 90 – 100 hours a week.  I was never disconnected – I took my work home, took phone calls at home, and often worked late into the night.

I had this kind of Type-A, workaholic personality that pushed me to do all this, but I was so unhappy because I didn’t feel like I was doing anything that really made a difference.

In my experience, I’ve come to understand that if you are unhappy in your job to the point where you are looking for the proper way to quit a job, there is a real disconnect – an energetic misalignment with where you are right now.

Your job may have served you extremely well over the years, but now there is a disconnect and you want more.  It’s like you’ve launched some rockets – what I call Order Forms to the Universe – and you’ve basically launched an Order Form that says:

  • I want to feel fulfilled in my work
  • I want to enjoy the people I work with
  • I want to make the kind of money that makes me happy – that pays my bills and luxuries
  • I want more

The disconnect is that while you want more, you’re in a situation where you only keep focusing in on how you don’t have it, so what you get is a crashing against you’re current beliefs – there’s no way I can do it, I won’t be able to find anything new, etc.

For me it was along the lines of, “Who would ever pay me the kind of money that I am making now in any other career? I’m not really qualified to do anything else!

The truth was, there were a lot of beliefs I had to shift – because it was my own beliefs that were actually holding that miserable reality in place for me! Read more

Has the 30 Day Empowered Spiritualpreneur Challenge Assisted You in Changing Your Relationship With Money?

The 30 Day Empowered Spiritualpreneur Challenge is moving along quickly, with 4 new Lessons posted this past week.

You can find them posted by visiting here now!

Lessons 7 and 8 of the 30 Day Empowered Spiritualpreneur Challenge are particularly important for you to really get into as you move forward in your Spiritualpreneur journey.

These Lessons deal with the relationship that you have with money, and how it is necessary to acknowledge and change this relationship in order to really move forward into Prosperity Consciousness.

In my own experience, money used to feel like something I was always chasing after – like an elusive boyfriend or girlfriend – someone that you wanted but couldn’t have.

You couldn’t really count on that person very much – they just showed up whenever they wanted to, kept you waiting whenever they felt like it…there was no sense of security with money.

One of the things I asked for in connection with my Inner Coach was to better understand whole experience with money, because it seemed like such a mystery. Why do some people have a great experience with money, while others don’t?

I learned then that it is all about relationship.  That you do in fact have relationships with things that are not tangible, like money, time, etc., and if your relationship is not in good standing, your experience will not be good either!

If you think about entering into a more personal relationship with money, what would you want?

The first thing you always want to do as you move forward is to get clear on what your current relationship is – where am I at right now?

So much of 30 Day Empowered Spiritualpreneur Challenge is finding out where you are right now and making peace with it – it’s about assisting you to find a baby step system to move toward what you want in a way that gives you vibrational access to what you want.

And in this journey as you move along, it is always important to remember that you have to manage your own energy – no one else can do it for you! You can’t pay anyone to manage your energy for you, which is why you must find peace with where you are at now in order to truly be able to move forward.

So, when you are activating your own Prosperity Consciousness as you identify your current relationship with money, take the Activation tools very seriously.

Imagine, if money was a person, who would it be?

Most people hold money in a distant place – you need to bring it back to the place of being a very personal relationship.

When you have a personal relationship with something or someone you feel better, more connected to them, and the core of all these Lessons ultimately is changing the way that you feel about things – because the essence of anything that you want to achieve is the way that you want to feel about it when you have achieved it.

When you go through the Activation tools in Lessons 7 & 8 and you begin to really get clear on what your current relationship with money is, you might be surprised by what you find.

My own relationship with money seemed to coincide with the relationship I had with my father – it was distant; I felt like I was never able to measure up 100% with him. Read more

Have You Heard About my 30 Day Empowered Spiritualpreneur Challenge?

Not a day goes by lately that I have not been reminded of the raging battle that is going on between 2 very opposite sides.

One side says the economy is getting worse every day.

It is only going to get harder. They say that you are crazy if you think you can succeed in business right now. You are even more crazy if you think you can have prosperity!

According to what this side believes and preaches, we are all going to hell in a hand basket and there’s nothing you can do about it.

This is the voice that’s telling you the economy is getting worse every day.  That it’s time to hunker down and protect your assets. It’s the side that believes in crushing the competition, and the idea that you should try to do everything alone.

It is the voice of your fears…

BUT – this battle is not one-sided!  Read more

What Does Maturity About Money Have to do With Manifesting Money?

If you’re like most people, you’re probably interested in manifesting more money these days.

A quick look around online and you can find classes promising everything from “Get Rich Quick” schemes to programs that teach you how to invest in the stock market, buy and sell real estate or even get your inventions on Oprah!

Even in our current economy, I believe that there have never been more opportunities for manifesting wealth, but at the same time, there are not many opportunities available that support you in developing a maturity about money.

A person with “money maturity” has a plan for their long-term wealth that includes more than just a balanced portfolio.

It also includes a life plan in which you are doing work you love and creating and spending your money in ways that are aligned with your Life Vision.

Top financial advisor, Cynthia Fick, offers you three tips to create a relationship with your money that is based on a deeper connection to your own Inner Guidance and a solid financial plan that reflects what is important to you.

Her Financial/Life Plan considers how your beliefs about money impact your financial decisions and your level of confidence in your ability to earn money and let money work for you.

Cynthia believes that every Spiritualpreneur needs to create a Financial Life Plan. Check out her three suggestions for creating your own: Read more

Do You See Paying the Bills as a Joyful Part of Running Your Own Business?

If you don’t, you should!

What are some steps you can take to make the bill-paying experience feel more joyful?

I like to put on red lipstick and kiss my checks, and imagine the love in that money going out to those people and more money coming back to me.

I actually have this statement printed on my own business checks:  “Prosperity in huge amounts flows to you and comes back to me”.

How would you feel about writing something like that on your checks?

It’s like playing a game that’s all about getting into a relationship with this idea of money that goes out and then comes back to you.

You can actually bless it as it goes out and expect that it comes back to you in even more amazing ways! Read more

How Can You Quickly Bring in Revenue to Your Own Business While Establishing Yourself as an Expert?

I've started to write a book....

Take a look at the difference between establishing yourself as an expert in your own business through something like writing a book, vs. establishing yourself as an expert by providing a program with minimal cost.

Writing and self-publishing a book can require an investment of several thousand dollars, along with  great deal of time.

If you want to quickly establish yourself as an expert as well as create multiple income streams, programs are the way to go.

I discovered that by establishing myself as an expert through creating programs (rather than laboring to write a book), I actually have people asking to co-author books with me.

For me, creating programs is more fun, and it is a much easier process. And when I am ready to talk to a publisher, it will be easier for a publisher to consider any proposals based on my expertise and the program workbooks already created.

Not only are programs significant revenue producers, but as soon as you have a program and an organization, you become an expert!

Think about it:

  • Assume that you are selling a product – maybe an eBook that you created.
  • You intend to sell the eBook for $30.
  • You have to do all the marketing and you have to organize Joint Venture partners.
  • Then, the affiliates will get a percentage (say 50%) for directing customers to your eBook
  • You will also have to pay the credit card fees

OR:

  • You provide a program
  • Charge $300 per person
  • Get 10 clients
  • That is $3000 generated!

Even after paying the credit card fees, you are still a lot of money ahead of selling the eBook.

You create more money faster by providing programs.  Books are like a glimmer in your eye.  You can literally be doing a paid program in weeks.

It won’t take years to produce revenue with programs.

When you think about beginning to create your pilot program, keep the following tips in mind:

Do You Recognize the Patterns & Beliefs That Are Serving You in Your Own Business?

Universal Blueprint
Image by Trevor Haldenby via Flickr

I was talking to a client the other day that had just begun applying one of the Energy Management tools to his own business called the Energy Blueprint.

He was telling me, “I went through looking at things that are serving me and things that are not serving me, and I didn’t even get to the second half of it, which is new beliefs and patterns!

“I was more moving through being aware and recognizing patterns that I have that don’t serve me with relationships with people to get the response that I want from them and stopping myself and saying, ‘Well, why did you say that?  There must be a reason.’

“It was a matter of just noticing, just the ability to scrutinize behaviors or things that I’m saying and to stop and give thought to where they actually came from.”

I asked the client, “Well, how do you think that was that useful to you in starting to analyze that?”

He responded, “I think that it’s helping me establish new patterns just through the recognition.  I think that part of it is that we grow up and we have all of this stuff that we become from our environment and not all of it necessarily serves us.

“Maybe it serves us then but it doesn’t necessarily serve us now and we carry it around.  So it’s like virtual dumping if you will to make way for new things.  That’s what I would say.”

Let me tell you, that client was pretty insightful on the value of doing this!

Whenever I do a new Energy Blueprint with clients, I usually suggest they do it on a quarterly basis. But I think there is also a real value in doing it even on a monthly basis to just look at the beliefs and patterns that are serving you.

You can break it down into business, money, relationships – any aspects that are physical.

I love putting things into charts and bullets and things like that.  I come from corporate America and I really like these organized ways of seeing that I’m changing and shifting.

Do You Have a Good, Healthy Relationship With Money in Your Own Business?

December 1, 2008 by Sharon Wilson

One of the biggest things that I find to be an issue with most people that run their own business (or want to run their own business) is their relationship with money.  I know all about this from starting my business awhile back!

One of the things that I found to be most effective in changing my relationship with money was to actually personify money.

When I first did this as an exercise, I began to recognize that I actually had a relationship with money that made money very much like an elusive lover.
